2011 NGLA Conference Staff Application
Selection
Six (6) Undergraduate staff members will be chosen, with preference given to those currently active in a leadership role within their fraternity & sorority community. Undergraduate applicants must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate students
Eight (8) graduate staff members will be chosen, with preference given to graduate students planning a career in student affairs, especially in fraternity and sorority advising. Graduate applicants must be enrolled in a graduate program of any study
Training & Departure
Staff Training will begin Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at 4:00PM EST. Individuals selected for staff MUST attend this training. All staff members may depart on Sunday, February 20, 2011 after 12:00PM EST
Responsibilities
The conference staff responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Lead opening sessions
•Working conference registration
•Creating, posting and removing signage
•Assisting in the conference office
•Delivering messages
•Distributing/collecting/tallying session evaluations
•Introducing speakers
•Attending daily NGLA Conference Staff Meetings
•Organize banquet and lunches logistics
•Other duties as assigned

Remuneration
The cost of the hotel room and registration fee will be provided by the NGLA from February 16th through the 20st. In addition, all meals from Wednesday evening through Sunday afternoon, with the exception of Friday's dinner, are paid for by the Association
Dress
Professional dress is required when functioning as a staff member. Name tags will also be expected. Comfortable shoes are STRONGLY recommended.
Recommendations
A letter of recommendation is required from your supervisor if you are a graduate student and your fraternity/sorority advisor if you are an undergraduate student. All letters of recommendation must be sent electronically to lbolotin@zbtnational.org by the application deadline.
Deadline
Applications and letters of recommendation are due no later than Friday, December 3, 2010. Letters of recommendation can be emailed, but application must be submitted online.
